My labrat Neopet changed from a Grarrl to a Moehog yesterday. It's been so long since there was a significant change in appearance that I apparently was paying no attention to the results page, so I did a doubletake when I hopped on at lunchtime.

In other news, I'm toying with the idea of Star Wars fic. This happens occasionally and has never actually produced anything. For some reason, I'm extremely shy about the idea in a way I don't remember being when I started in HP, and in a different way from when I started in X-Men. Not to mention I need to finish an award application and my genficathon story. (My challenges ended up being fairly, ah, challenging. Heh. I hope what I'm working on will be satisfactory.)

Instead of doing any of these, yesterday I went roaming through some other people's fanfics.... Alan has recommended one he really liked, too, but as it's actually one of the novels I'll have to wait until I can get to a bookstore or library that has it.

I tend to have the same "shyness" when it comes to writing. I've got a very long, complicated Star Wars fic in the works, and I have several chapters written, but I'm very reluctant when it comes to the idea of actually posting it in public. It's partially a good thing, because it means I'll complete the story before posting, but sometimes I doubt I'll ever get that far.

Sorry to ramble like that. It's just good to know I'm not the only one.
