Soup and Showers

So, I cleaned the bathtub today. I have had two showers (because I had one before I decided to clean the tub, and afterwards I felt another one might be in order), am in the middle of washing sheets and comforter, and have not yet had lunch.

I was contemplating lunch before the second shower and realized that I had an option that had not previously occurred to me: soup. Quite a lot of soup, in fact, mostly tomato or chicken. It also occurred to me that the tendency to buy soup and then forget to eat it may explain why it seems to accumulate.

It is definitely time for soup. And reading. My husband is away today with the (only currently working) car, and I hope he'll be able to get back in time for us to go to the evening church service, because we ought to attend more regularly.

Last night I had the delightful experience of a scene popping out of nowhere -- or rather, out of an explication tactic I wasn't expecting to provide a scene.

So's my husband! He tells me to buy a loaf of bread, and I'll come home from grocery shopping to discover that he never used the one I bought the previous week. Fortunately, he doesn't like any of those expensive breads (like I do), so I don't mind pitching 65¢ if I have to.
