Tired...
...Should probably go to bed.
I think my brain has wilted. It's been a very productive visit, but well before the end of the dinner at a professor's house, I'm afraid I desperately wanted to go somewhere I could curl up by myself and indulge in purely recreational dithering.
Unfortunately it was late enough most of the people I currently want to chatter at are asleep. Hmm.
And they finally posted the end of the Neopets plot -- and in some ways it's quite sweet -- and HAH, Jeran did live -- and dannng, the very last panel did kind of a nice mirror effect but it also... well, let's just say I no longer consider the ending of "The Monster in the Barn" to be overly sappy.
(Should've resubmitted it, perhaps. They did more poems today, but no theme. I've got a Morguss one, but... meh.)
What happened to Morguss anyway? Are they saving her to be a future villain? I don't THINK I saw her in today's chapter, and they said she had more tricks left, or something. Sigh.
And no Sally. I so wanted to see Sally again. Wah. Fine. Fic topic.
An air faerie (Psellia, presumably) brought Jeran back looking dead (on a panel reading "Some even made the ultimate sacrifice"), but he woke up while Lisha was crying over him. I have no idea where Morris and Boris went. I assume they're okay, but we went straight (well, with an interlude of Kass running from the Three, trying to argue with them, and getting obliterated) from Darigan telling Danner "We have to get out of here, fast," toDarigan's soldiers Kass's soldiers the Winged Horde surrendering and then going to the engine room (engine room?!) "before the engines fail" to... you know, it's not really clear what they're doing, or for that matter why he's expecting the engines to fail. At least, not from just the segment. I think that the Three must have had something to do with how it was flying (which makes some sense, but I'd've figured on spells, not engines) and they, well, landed it. Hopefully not on top of anything important. Presumably, given the above, not on top of Jeran. Or, given that he's shown chatting with him in a new page, the orange Grarrl who may be named Galgaroth or Galgrrath depending on whether you ask Kass or the Cellblock page. (I'm going with the Cellblock page, myself. Vex seems more likely to get people's names right than Kass, who evidently can't really get rid of anybody even by chucking them off the citadel.)
Upon consulting the preview of the new Darigan map, I'm not sure anymore... it looks like they have more, well, actual ground, but it still has jagged stuff underneath suggesting it's actually in the air. Then again, they're pointy, but maybe it kind of still ends up standing on them.
I want to hug Darigan. I'm not sure if he'd take it well or not. (I bet he'd let Sally, though. WHERE THE HECK IS SALLY? ...okay, actually I assume she's at home.)
There are new items. I think I want two or three of them; there's a wind-up Darigan of some sort, and four new Usukis. There is a Bat Thing Usuki, which I find hilarious given where he spent his time not-remembering-stuff, and it's extremely rare so getting hold of it will probably be pretty nearly impossible for me. Wah. There's also a Jeran Usuki (which I would get for Drea if I thought I likely could) and Kass and Zafara Double Agent Usukis (the importance of the Zafara Double Agent's role isn't really explored EITHER). There is no Sally Usuki. The only place she shows up new today, in fact, is in a coloring page. Well, at least she turned up at all.
Maybe I can save up np for the items I'm still missing. IF I can catch anybody wanting to sell or trade.

And I have Dariganbunnies. *nods* Well, what else is new, right?
I really enjoyed the plot and was (as you know) terribly impatient about it, but you're right, the execution was lousy. I think part of it was that they threw in too many things for the purpose of doing TCGs of them, and then didn't manage to follow through so everything made sense because they fell behind and people were whining about it dragging.
I'm still amused that the Bat Thing Usuki looks more like himself than, well, any of the other three look like themselves...

Hmm. I may have to write that as part of my Saga. *g*

I figure Psellia actually caught Jeran and he's just still woozy from being hit by a nova and Kass and maybe passed out during the fall, but it was terribly vague.
Lisha-Skarl confrontation. The treaty itself, for heaven's sake.
Hey, THAT must be what happened to Danner, Boris, and Morris. Darigan sent them (gently) down to run along and explain what had happened to Meridell.

probablydefinitely a lot of things I don't know, but, well. Like Sally. Not even a clip? What's with the fairy who brings back Jeran. Oh, and engines? I'm not even a writer and I'm pretty sure we should have heard about the engines before they needed to flip their switch, lol.Clearly the author(s) have never written for a demanding fan-fic audience *g*.

The engines, so far as I can tell, came totally out of nowhere. It almost looks like Darigan didn't know the way to them in his own citadel, too, although since he certainly seemed to know how to operate them the "Follow me" was probably just sort of an acknowledgement.
The faerie who brought Jeran back would appear to be Psellia (never named in the actual chapters, but she was the one who flew up and made a break in the clouds when they were planning the invasion; somebody I've been Neomailing actually called her as the likely choice to catch him).
