Confusion

I have an extra pen. It is different from all my other pens, and I don't know where I got it. It has no promotional logos on it other than the brand name, which leaves me troubled by the possibility that I wandered off with some other person's pen by accident. On the other hand, it might be from the last meeting I went to -- I have the vague impression that they may have distributed pens, but had just gotten regular ones instead of springing for anything more personalized.

If I had any clue whom to return it to, I would. :(

Strangely, I'm sitting here in need of a pen and am unable to find one.

Sadly, they don't seem to travel well over the internet.

Alas. :/

*shifty eyes* I'll take it. I've been accused of having something akin to a pen fetish.

Uh-oh. Pen mischief!

My theory is that pens breed in the desk or pen-holder, producing batches of odd offspring. My black pens produced a large litter of red pens, which all disappeared one month, leaving in their place a collection of mechanical pencils. And the color I need most is never in the holder.

This has to be even more inconvenient for artists. Although mine are not quite that, er, lively -- perhaps because you provide more genetic variation.

The spice of life!

Variety, that is. At least among pens. My brush markers, alas, don't breed, but do dry out with irritating regularity.

Get rid of it! Someone's trying to frame you for something!

*peers out in huddled distress from small frame made of four pens*

Too late. :(
