Upsy-downsy

Today was interesting. I took the day off from lab, which allowed me to hare off to the blood donation center when I realized there wasn't going to be an on-campus drive at a really good time for me. They were very nice to me, and not very busy. I got rather dizzy right toward the end, but once that passed I was fine.
The one lady said she had been concerned to get the needle out quickly so I wouldn't throw my arm in the air. Is this a common reaction to fainting or something? As long as I'm conscious, flinging my arm around while it has a needle in it is one of the LAST things I want to do!
After that I went to set up the new printer. This developed an inordinate level of hassle, as the color cartridge turned out to be messed up and, since it was the one that had come with the printer, Best Buy said they could only give me a new one if I returned the whole printer.
I strongly suspect that this ended up being more trouble than it was actually worth.
I think I should have had something for dinner, after the donation, besides an ear of corn and a milkshake. But after all that I was kind of spent, and after the corn I was not very hungry anymore. Actually I would probably have been less upset about the printer if I'd eaten something first, but as I was originally setting it up to print out a coupon for a restaurant (before I realized the restaurant was closed on Mondays) that had not happened.
Tomorrow my husband has a dentist appointment at 7AM and I have to go to Employee Orientation by 8AM. But they want us there half an hour early. Actually I'd guess they want him there half an hour early too.
I may break and indulge in some caffeine tomorrow. Also, I need to make sure I eat breakfast and pack lunch even though they're providing one. Just in case.
