Response I would like to post to the Debate Thread on FA but won't. Please note that I have not directly quoted any portion of the post to which I am responding.

R/Hr shippers don't want the boys to compete for Hermione's affections because everybody knows Harry would win, my eye, foot, and less savory body parts possibly lost by Alastor Moody!
That's hilarious. :)
As has been stated on this thread too many times to count before the night's out, R/Hr shippers don't want the boys to compete for Hermione's affections because everybody knows the most romantic interest Harry has ever shown in Hermione may be accurately paraphrased as "Huh, she's pretty when she's dressed up -- doesn't look a bit like herself!" (This is a generalization. Clearly everybody in the world does not know this. It is, however, surely at least as valid as Pallas Athena's attempt at telepathy, and much more text-based. ;)) I realize romance can grow unexpectedly out of friendship, but with that basis it may need Miracle-Gro.
And Hermione... well, she appears to be quite as capable as Ginny of ordering her love life without input from either boy, and for the moment I shall leave it at that.

I don't think it ought to get me modthwapped, given some of the things that get posted with apparent impunity, but I rather suspect it would.
