I may have applied, somewhat insanely, to be a Niffler. But only if applications received before midnight Pacific time counted.
The lab is working on putting out a paper on stuff I've been working on, which means I will be working again tomorrow and, barring some form of disaster, should be published on Monday. Whee! ...The 3D plots of dihedral angles involved in this seem to have imprinted themselves firmly into my brain. When I woke up around 3 last night, I was while half-awake evidently under the impression that the bed was *in* alpha-beta-gamma space and that whenever I got rolled over I got moved into a different one. This led to some very confusing conversations, since I wasn't terribly coherent about all this and my husband couldn't figure out what I meant by "charts." He ended up expressing the opinion that I should not be able to come out with "alpha-beta-gamma" at that hour when only partially awake. This may be true, and reminds me that I should study my Greek....
