The IRS has sent us a second notice stating that we owe them money. The IRS is clearly staffed by total idiots, as they actually owe US money and would realize this if they were capable of reading the 1099 form with the withholding on it that A. went to them FROM THE ORGANIZATION and B. has been sent to them again, by us, with a polite but pointed letter after the FIRST notice.

Grr.

On another annoying and far more trivial topic which is nevertheless of rather wider interest, while I'm all for reading unwilling reconciliations now and then, what's up with the notion that relationships can only be interesting if the parties involved dislike each other and have sex anyway? (This is probably an exaggeration, but sometimes....)

It does have to do with the rather fascinating "Buy this and this and get a discount!" combination further down the page. Now, for the books, this involves getting two different covers, which is amusing in its own way but not terribly odd.

Order of the Phoenix, the audio version? They suggest buying it with Terminator 3. Freakish combination.
