Eek, I'm being followed! ...Very slowly.

Kidding. Obviously. But one of the postdocs from the lab I worked in for a couple of summers is going to be coming to work at the university, which is quite cool. (Even if I've since concluded that tools from my current lab that I didn't know about at the time would have been a good deal more useful for the project I was working on there... erk.)

I am being Reasonably Productive. I'm on track with my Spanish homework and have taken care of assorted small details such as long-overdue thank-you notes, depositing money in savings, purchasing stamps, making hotel reservations to attend a wedding the day before our first wedding anniversary, that sort of thing.

I find it bizarrely amusing that I received a CBFFA nomination for a DC fic. Naturally I'm delighted, but it's a short humorfic and looks very funny in with the other options. Which I suppose is appropriate for humor, but still. ;)

Wax

Ew. Larvae. Despite the freeze this winter... oh well. Trashed all potentially infected comb, but the new foundation does smell lovely. (Due to timing issues -- namely, I procrastinate dreadfully -- I got the stuff that's all one piece of plastic with a coating. I think I like it.)

And I have just been informed by Mitai that I inspire warm, waxy feelings in people.

Now for the bees. They're supposed to have left yesterday....
