Fourteen drabbles? And a poem? On top of all the other stuff? You are ambitious, PK! I'm impressed. :)

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
...Oh dear. This was supposed to be a private entry. *is embarrassed*

I'm not sure I'll get that far. But Hufflepuff lost this week (for the first time this YEAR!) and I feel very guilty about it because I only got around to two drabbles. I meant to write more toward the end of the week, but have not yet mastered actually getting anything done and having to go to bed at a halfway sensible hour.

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Hufflepuff lost where? *puzzled*

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
At HP100. *is sad*

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*is also a bit ridiculous, considering we went from 6 wins out of 86 weeks to 15 wins out of 96*

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
How does that work? *puzzled* Does everyone get a house or something?

And I see you're also trying your luck at Eliv Thade. I keep trying and failing because damnit, those aren't real words! >_

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
*giggles* Some of them aren't real words, no. I need to keep a list of the Neopian ones. But, erm... for the ones that are real... *whistles* http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/advanced.html is amazingly useful. (Though if it hands you "senopia"? Thade won't take it. The game wants "Neopias.")

Anyway, for HP100, you've got the gist. For every 100-word drabble you post, you get to designate a house to get the credit.

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, that's going to be helpful. Thanks! :)
*snigger*

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd worry about whether it would be considered cheating, except they published a Neopian Times article instructing people on how to stop Maths Nightmare long enough to use a calculator to solve some of the problems.

...I still can't type fast enough. *facepalms*

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
*snicker*

Me, I say that using it to figure out the words we don't get vs. the words we don't get because they're not words damnit comes out rather even. So yeah.

Besides, I want to achieve at least one high-score entry. The only one I ever got was 80-something place on the Brain Tree Quest, which is kind of embarassing. Eliv Thade is one of the only games where I could see myself possibly ever getting a high enough score... well, that and Codebreaker if I'm ever bored enough to play 1000 rounds of it. >_<

Out of interest, what's your Neopian username? I don't think I've seen you around. ^^

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Kazaera; I'm horrifyingly unoriginal. 'Sides, it's unique. *bounce*

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Occasionally I wish I'd come up with Schefflera first and stuck with it... I wasn't really aware when I picked up Persephone Kore that it would give some people the impression I'm into modern paganism (as opposed to dabbling in Greek mythology). And, eh, the trophy cabinet probably indicates that I spend too much time on it. ;)

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
...watch me die of shame and jealousy looking at your trophy cabinet.

I noticed that Hufflepuff had been on winning streak, and I was glad to see it. Go Badgers! But 14 drabbles in a week seems incredible to me. I'm a really slow writer - even one drabble takes me a while.

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I write very slowly on a lot of things, but the fact that drabbles are over so soon is oddly freeing for me. A lot of the time on other stuff is dawdling.

Unfortunately, I dawdled too long on coming up with ideas for this week. Oops.

[identity profile] karet.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Fourteen drabbles? Yeesh!

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-05 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
*blushes* This was supposed to be a private entry. But it's worth a shot, right?

[identity profile] yma2.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I say... go for the drabblness. But to be honest I'm kind of glad Hufflepuff lost in a way. It gave the other houses a chance. Gotta give them a fighting chance.
But I intend for us to win this week though.

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
They always have a chance -- usually we aren't the one with the most people. They just don't always take it. ;)

We're still way behind Ravenclaw on the overall count. Must catch up. *nods* :)

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 10:25 am (UTC)(link)
...not if I can help it.
*writes*
Aw damnit, stupid word processor doesn't have a word counter!
*sits on her hands and thinks Go Ravenclaw, Go Ravenclaw!*

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, I'm helpless. I only have one HP 100-word drabble that I can post and can't write any more because of STUPID WORDPAD! >_<;;

*is feeling really sick and grumpy right now. Grrr.*

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Tylenol? (Er... what's it called there, Paracetamol?) Ginger ale? Bland crackers? Lots of water? (I can't confirm it personally, because I never get around to watering myself adequately, but I'm told being thoroughly hydrated can reduce cramping.)

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Took Tylenol and it helped...
The dehydration would be a lot easier to deal with if it weren't for this stupid swollen lip that makes drinking pretty unpleasant. *whines* Gyah. I hate being female and I hate my dad for having hereditary illnesses!
And yeah, Tylenol is Paracetamol in Germany. However, my dad prefers Tylenol (it's the cool colourful capsules, I tell ya!) so he imports it. ^^;;

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
I like the capsules that keep it from starting to dissolve on your tongue. Ack, bitter.

Would a drinking straw make it better or worse?

[identity profile] kazaera.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
That'd probably work... unfortunately, I have no straws. ><;;
Luckily the swelling's started to go down. Still annoying, but at this rate it should be gone this time tomorrow.
At least, I certainly HOPE it will.

[identity profile] persephone-kore.livejournal.com 2005-03-07 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I hope so too.
