Previous entry temporarily withdrawn pending further thread research. There are fewer unequivocally anti-character threads without polls than I had thought, although I'm surprised I didn't see an Umbridge one -- guess people have gotten bored? ;) On the other hand, perhaps I'm being too strict in my definition, given that I didn't originally think G.I.N.S. was intended strictly as an anti-Ginny thread either.

Speaking of Umbridge . . .

Is Firenze another play on words, as in "friends"? Am I starting to see them where they're not?

Um... possibly. I don't know if that one's intended or not. I figured he was named after the city. (Or whoever the city was named after?) "Bane" is another of the centaurs, and I'm fairly sure we had one who started with an M, but I'm blanking.

*blinks suddenly* Waitaminute. Firenze. That's Florence, yes? So is there a connection to the mysterious Florence who was being kissed behind the greenhouses? *g*

*cackles* So...who DID Bertha see kissing Firenze behind the greenhouses? And does this explain Firenze's unusual camaraderie with humans? Or perhaps he went back into the forest in the first place because his heart was broken, and it took the arrival of a little boy who looked just like his Lost Love to bring him out into the world again.

James/Firenze is my new OTP!! :D

It is Florence. I've been there. Very pretty architecture.

And you hurt my brain too. *edges away with PK*
