Ooh, weird....

I finally (after living in this complex for over four years) got around to trying out the exercise room. Couple of weight machines and the treadmill.

Leaving aside my general wimpiness, I had the weirdest floaty feeling when I got off the treadmill. I don't mean euphoria; I think it was akin to when you twirl around until you fall and then feel like the world is turning around you, or (according to what I've heard) getting off a ship and feeling as if the ground is rocking beneath you like the waves you got used to. I assume this was a result of walking and jogging without getting anywhere, then stepping off and actually going someplace. But it really did feel briefly as if I wasn't quite walking on the floor.

Do you get used to it or something? I think I was misjudging when my feet would come down, at least on steps. I'd have been a little scared to try to run, I think.

I've never gotten used to it, and I've had a treadmill for a couple of years now.
