Weird dream.
So I'm coming up on eight weeks from my first time giving blood, and planning to see if I can get an appointment to go ahead and do it again when eligible, so that I don't lose my nerve.
That part's real life.
The dream involved... well... giving blood again. Only not in the environment of any normal blood drive, no, I seem to have been on some sort of tower, wall, or cliff (but with a railing), and it seems to have been something of a do-it-yourself job. Someone else (possibly my husband or brother) stuck the needle in my arm, but I wasn't immobilized, wasn't attended... I think I was sitting down. I remember feeling the associated sensations from the first time, but... somewhat muted; I was dizzy/shaky, but there wasn't anyone to order me to cough; I felt a sting when the needle went in, some pain in my arm and numbness in my hand, but it seemed reduced. I don't know whether this was dream-induced distance or an attempt to work in what the Red Cross lady told me about how it would be easier the second time. I had to handle the little plastic bag myself -- I was all nervous about stopping the bleeding and getting the bag sealed at the same time, and rightly so, since I ended up fumbling the bag. I think I managed not to spill it somehow, though.
Still not sure where the heck I was supposed to be.
